Introduction



Hi, I’m Thinh Nguyen, an animator from Vietnam with a passion for animation and all things creative. I love spending my free time sketching with pen and paper, letting my imagination run wild. I value different perspectives and believe in the importance of mental health for both personal well-being and creative growth.

History


I’m Thinh Nguyen, a 24-year-old artist from Saigon, Vietnam. My journey into the world of animation has been anything but ordinary. Growing up in Saigon, I nurtured a deep passion for art, but it wasn’t until I studied Graphic Design at North Seattle Community College in 2018 that I realized animation was my true calling. Despite the challenges as a poor international student, including a significant shift in my life and culture, I followed my passion and enrolled at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2019.


Graduating from SCAD in 2022, I went on to work as a CG artist at Mammal Studios for a year, where I further developed my skills in animation and 3D artistry. The COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 were particularly tough, and it economic effect still linger. I was let go of my first animation job. However, these set back reinforced my resilience and adaptability. Now, I’m channeling my creativity into personal projects and freelance work, .I am open to new opportunities. I’m excited to embrace fresh challenges and continue 
growing as an artist.
