Compassion Fruit

    “Compassion Fruit” is the second project I had the opportunity to lead, and it was an exhilarating journey from pitch to final render. Throughout the process, I gained valuable insights and expanded my understanding of the technical aspects of animation. With this improved perspective, I was able to better gauge what was achievable with a team of five and within the constraints of a single quarter, ensuring we delivered a complete product.

    I focused on coordinating with my peers effectively to maintain a smooth pipeline while balancing quality and efficiency. Given the extreme time constraints, I aimed to keep the story simple and engaging, avoiding unnecessary complexity. Ultimately, I developed a childlike concept with a meaningful moral, which I believe succeeded in delivering both clarity and impact.

    Looking back, I realize that the storyboard for "Compassion Fruit" lost some of its focus as the project progressed. As the narrative evolved, we deviated from the original vision, which led to a less cohesive final product. If I were to revisit the project, I would adhere more closely to the initial storyboard. Sticking to the original plan would help maintain a clearer direction and ensure that the story remains as impactful and engaging as intended.
    One aspect I was particularly pleased with was my approach to look development, especially in how I utilized vibrant colors to emphasize the playful and lighthearted nature of the story.

    I would love to revisit this idea in the future, as I believe there's still so much potential to explore. With the experience and insights I've gained since working on this project, I feel I could bring even more depth and refinement to the concept. Revisiting it would allow me to refine the story, enhance the look development, and address the areas where the original project lost focus. I’m excited about the possibility of reimagining this idea with fresh perspectives and new techniques to fully realize its potential and create an even more compelling and cohesive experience.
